Frequently Asked Questions

01. Why is Grab doing this?

Grab would not be where it is today without the invaluable support, expertise, and guidance of experienced players in the region. We would like to give back and share what we gained along our journey. This is why we launched GVV - to help build the next generation of tech unicorns.

02. What is your selection criteria?

We evaluate each startup holistically, using a range of criteria including (but not limited to): problem being solved, market traction, economics, growth potential, tech capabilities, synergies with Grab, and fit with Grab’s values and culture.

03. What happens during the program? Who will we work with?

For both tracks, you will work with the GVV team and an internal Grab team to pilot your tech within Grab’s ecosystem. Pilot goals are developed jointly between you and Grab. You will also have support from Grab during the program, including access to our vast customer base in the region, 1:1 mentorship, and access to Grab’s tech and non-tech resources (ex. Grab APIs, networks).

04. What are the expected outcomes at the end of the program?

You will summarize and present pilot results to Grab at pitch day. Up to two selected startups will receive partnership opportunities to scale their business with Grab.

05. Where does the program happen? Do I need to be in Singapore (or in Indonesia for Track 2) the entire time?

Generally, you are not required to be in Singapore or Indonesia for the entire program duration. However, startup teams may be recommended to co-locate with a Grab team on select days to make the pilots effective. Details will be discussed further during onboarding. In addition, there are specific days (kick-off, pitch day) where co-founders will have to be in event location (location to be confirmed). Grab will cover your travel and lodging expenses for these days.
